We staged an open call that asked for artist and non-artists from around the world to share their stories of immigration, the experience of war and the ongoing global refugee crisis. Our goal was to cultivate a community of people from varied lived experiences and cultural contexts, and to provide an unofficial platform for their stories to be shared with the wider audience of Documenta in Kassel, Germany, outside of institutional means and constraints. From the submissions, we created a digital zine that catalogued the various works and documented the screening in Kassel.
